Has anyone ever had giant blood clots during their period?

I'm worried for my mom she is 50 years old and she has had some very usually periods. Her last normal period was Christmas and now periods have giant blood clots in them and she doesn't get them once a month she get them every two weeks. I'm worried it could be cervical cancer but she thinks it could be menopause? Any advice would be great!

It's probably best she just go see a doctor, it could be a lot of things.

I'm 20 and have irregular periods. I either skip a month or many months, or I have long lasting periods. I get large blood clots and they are painful. Your mom should see a Gynecologist, that's the best way to find out what's going on.

that age she should be amor having periods anymore😳... tell her to visit the doctor something can be wrong. my aunt is 45 and her periods stopped already , she's now going through menopause

The average age for menopause is 52. A few years before menopause periods can become irregular. I have blood clots but I've read anything bigger than a quarter is not normal. Could you see if she will go to a doctor? It wouldn't hurt to get checked out.

My mom has two periods each month. Her doctor told her that each ovary was dropping an egg instead of one or the other. This might be happening. What size are the blood clots? I have had some pretty large clots occasionally

My aunt started menopause at 38 but she had wired periods for like a year before it started where she would have 2 a month with clots the size of a fist or go a few months without one, then all of a sudden there was nothing. We assumed it was the uteruses way of sputtering out. Like the end of a ketchup bottle? My aunt makes weird jokes a d comparison. Lol
