organ transplants
possible tw (not sure but you never know).
anyways, I'm working on an med term project where a question asks
"imagine that you are Josie's parent, one of your children has the opportunity to save the life of another one your children through organ transplant. Would you encourage him or her to donate an organ?" In the scenario of the book the one donating is a senior in college about to graduate who was just recruited for the national hockey league to play but wouldn't be able to play after the transplant.
I'd like to know some thoughts on the matter.
Personally, I wouldn't say "encourage" but I'd definitely hope my child would want to save their siblings life. however, I wouldn't force them to do anything because that would lead to resentment and would end equally as bad. I think I'd first have some faith in my child to do it. And if not, that's fine they don't have to do something that life changing if they don't want to.
