why am I so passive with my boyfriend?

I feel like my long distance boyfriend controls me sometimes. I can't tell him no without being scared that I would make him mad. When I do gather all of my courage to tell him no, he says things like "I guess you don't love me because if you did you wouldn't have said no." That makes me do whatever it is he asks even if I try to not let him do that to me. I have to tell him where I'll be if I have plans, who I'll be hanging out with, if there will be any guys with me, and respond to him whenever he texts me. If I don't respond fast, he thinks I'm cheating on him. Sometimes I would be watching a movie with my friends at the theater and I can't text him. He gets mad and doesn't talk to me for the rest of the night. It's really causing my self esteem to drop and make me feel like I need him to be myself.

First off if he's already "gone" (distance wise) then that will make it easier to let him go. He sounds manipulative. And that's no quality of life if u ask me. I say let him go. The fact that u feel u need him to be yourself means he has u wrapped around his pinky finger and really doesn't care about your mental well being. Again not a good trait in a man. He's not your father u don't have to check in. He's far away doing god knows what.. when someone is that concerned if ur cheating chances are they're doing the cheating ESPECIALLY in long distance relationships

I agree. I'm in a long distance relationship as well. We both trust each other but we had our issues at first. I told him straight up that if you can't trust me then there is no reason to be together. We still working on it. But I always made sure he doesn't control me because he should trust me. Long distance or not, without trust it's just not gonna work. And if he accuses you of cheating.... he probably has something up

Talk with him. Tell him that you're not cheating and that you don't plan on cheating, and if he doesn't trust you then you'll just have to break up. Tell him that you will hang out with and talk to and be friends with whoever you please, because you're your own person. Tell him that sometimes you get busy and you can't always talk, and that you'll talk with him whenever you get home. Tell him if he wants to get upset and pissy, then he'll have to deal with it, and tell him that if he doesn't want to talk to you, that's his loss, not yours.
Take your relationship into your hands, and demand trust and respect. If he doesn't change, leave him. Because if he doesn't change then he doesn't love you.
