34 ttc#1 after bc. Only 2 periods and no positive opks.

I have been trying for 6 months on March with only 2 periods after 16yrs bc. I don't get a positive opk I'm obviously not ovulating if I'm not getting a period so the every other day sex for the last 6 months was most likely for nothing. I go to doc tomorrow will she help me and induce a period and help me ovulate or because I'm 34 and not 35 have to wait a year.?? Waiting a year would be great heartbreaking and stupid seeing I'm not ovulating??

Any one my age been in this situation and gotten prescribed something after 6 months?
