Passing the time on cervidil?

Question

Being induced next week and apparently I'll be on cervidil for 12 hrs. Is this a time I can expect to be able to nap? Or should we bring a bunch of movies? Do you have to stay in bed the whole time? Any info appreciated!!

Nap or bring a book along! Soft music and maybe just relax in your bed.

Nap! Bc once the contractions start you won't do much so while you can just rest.

They can leave the cervadil in for up to 24 hours, depending on how your progressing. I had it in for 24 hours, didn't dialate much, but it did thin out my cervix. I think I went into active labour not tooo long after they took it out. Being induced sucked, and I didn't like it. I didn't have a choice though, was overdue with high blood pressure. I'd bring movies and things to keep you busy, you can definitely nap though. I was in and out of sleep, and had family there as well visiting.
