low platelet count - due in 2 days
I'm 39 weeks 5 days and due Friday.
My platelets (they help clot your blood) have been dropping through my pregnancy and have continued to drop. I'm glad I was already planning on a hospital birth without drugs because I found out today mine are now borderline too low for an epidural!

The cut off for no epidural is 70 or 75, so if I'm dropping at the same rate means in a week I would be at 70.
I won't know until they do fresh blood work when I'm in labour if the epidural is off the table completely or not.
Any other mommas in the same boat?
I was planning a natural hospital birth anyway (I wouldn't be allowed a home birth with my current count but that was never the plan) so I'm fine with it but my only worry is if I go late and I have to be induced, I do NOT want to have an induced labour at all to begin with but especially not without the option of an epidural. I trust my body will only give me pain I can handle but induction is a whole other story.
