any legal experts on here?
Not sure which board this would go under. But I met a guy recently who says he has to pay more than half his income for alimony to his ex wife because she refuses to get a job. She has a nursing degree but chooses not to work because Texas is a state that favors the woman in a divorce. I could understand if he just had to pay child support but she refuses to get a job? Something doesn't add up and it all sounds very fishy to me. Are there any legal experts who are familiar with divorce law in Texas who can confirm if this happens a lot?
