2 month old supported sitter?

My son will be 2 months old on the 29th and he's already trying to sit up. He still needs support though. I'm wondering if this means he should start baby cereal soon? He's breast fed, sometimes by bottle. And lately has been eating every hour from the bottle. I'm wondering if he's not getting full .. a couple days ago he was going 3/4 hours between feedings . Anyone else dealing w this?

I'm going through the same I talked to my pediatrician and he honestly isn't a fan of baby cereal/ rice. He said if I do decide to give it to want to at least 4 months that their gut isn't really able to process. I'm thinking I'll wait to 5 month and just start a couple of homemade baby foods.

My LOs favorite position is to sit up. Ive strapped him into his highchair at dinner time to be with us since 6 weeks. I also bought a sit n play thing (fischer price), so he can hang out with while I make dinner.

I've decided to go buy one of those sit me up chairs for my son tomorrow who will also be 2month tomorrow. If he's still crying after being fed, burped, and changed than I will either sit him up right in my lap or in his dad's lap while he plays video games and he is perfectly happy and content. He definitely enjoys sitting up and seeing everything around him. Also up until about 3 days ago he was eating every 3-4 hours. (Mostly breast, occasional pumped bottle) but the past few days he's been wanting to eat like every hour and half - two hours. I was starting to wonder if he wasn't getting enough. Growth spurt didn't even cross my mind but that's probably what it is.

There are no nutritional benefits to cereal. There are also concerns about trace amounts of arsenic in rice cereal. Babies cannot digest cereal or any food prior to 4 months so my suggestion is to avoid it. I'd ask the pediatrician as well.

My son is 11 weeks today . I give him rice cereal once at night in his bottle . He still wakes up at 3 for his bottle lol but it only helps him stop spitting up not keep him full. We use it for that reason tho cuz he would spit up a lot at night but not anymore . And he's been tryna sit up since he was born and almost sitting up by hisself now

I was just thinking the same thing this morning while playing with my daughter. She's also 2 months and trying to sit up. I was going to ask her pediatrician tomorrow if it's okay if she is put in a chair under my supervision in case she leans forward or to the side.
