diapers for blowouts?

My son (20 weeks) has been having bad blowouts these past 2 weeks. Every poop has been a blowoit up the back of his diaper. He's already in 3s and about 18 pounds so I don't think he needs to go up a size but we are probably Gona get a box of 4s just to try.

He normally wears pampers sensitive and we just tried target diapers, and they were fine but still having the blowouts.

Oh and they happen no matter what position he is in (sitting, nursing, laying down etc...)

Suggestions?

I feel like the size 3's are screwed up lol I'm on my third different kind of size 3's and I can't get ones that fit him very well and then sometimes poop goes up his back. Luckily not all the time, my issue is more they're all too tight around his belly and long on the bottom

We always use supermarket brand with no problems. Pampers were on offer so i grabbed them instead last time I went shopping. I don't know if it's part of the design to draw the moisture away from the area or something but we had a few wet backs where the pee seemed to have been drawn up the back of the Nappy and out. They fit fine and are the same size as our regular ones, and when I switched back to the cheap brand the problem stopped. Something with the design maybe?

Huggies snugglers have an extra elastic/stretchy part at the back area - maybe that would help?

I use Kirkland, havnt had a blowout since a long time.

We kept having blowouts from Pampers. (When she was in a smaller size, she's in 3s now.) We tried Luvs and haven't had a blowout since. Obviously it's different for all babies. Sometimes it's a trial and error thing!

Just to update - my boy has gone up to a size 4 and is fine. Although he had another 4lbs in Pampers I went a size up in another brand and no problems

I like luvs. Lately I've been stretching the diaper out before putting it on him and that seems to give him a bit more room

My LO was having the same blowouts, when I asked about her poos by the paediatric consultant for her reflux review he had a suspicion she has a dairy intolerance. Having done some reading around

My LO is also currently in 3s at 15lbs & we use Luvs brand. He's only had a blowout once in them since we started using them.  Might be worth a try

Used to use kirkland diapers. Never once had a blowout. Bought two boxes of huggies at costco because they were $7 off & he has a blowout every time he poops!😭 finishing the  box i opened but I returned the other! Going back to kirkland for sure!
