Today is my husband's birthday...

Kimberly

Today is my husband's birthday.

When I first started dating Patrick, before my dad ever had a chance to meet him, my father was admitted to Atlanta Piedmont to have his lung removed. My dad called me, bitching about tuna casserole. Patrick went and picked up Cubans with me and went to the hospital with me to drop them off. He stayed out of the room, but from the beginning, Patrick has always been there to support me. When we moved in togerher, I begged him for a dog. He's the one who picked June out and sent me to go get her and he is even the one that when we found John, carried him in our house and gave him a bath. He's the one who rescued Marshall and Ava when they were dumped in our neighborhood in below freezing temperatures and even though he always makes it sounds like I'm the crazy dog lady, he's a close second. When I wanted to quit my job at Taco Mac and go work for Hooter's, he wasn't super happy, but he supported me. Even though he didn't like it, he had my back because that's what two people in love do, they support each other even when they don't agree. He went to the swimsuit contests and he saw how happy it made me, so it made him happy. My husband quit his job at Taco Mac, for a huge paycut, because he wanted more time with his family, and he's always the first to make a sacrifice when we need it. When dad had another surgery and we found out rhe cancer had spread, Patrick stayed by my side the whole time in the hospital, and hospitals freak him out. We weren't even married yet, but he loved my family like they were his own. When my sister got sick, he left work to be with us. He brought everyone candy and always tried to lighten the mood and stay positive. He treats my sister as if she were his own, and it warms my heart to have found someone who loves the people I love the most as much as I do. Patrick has done a million and one things to show what a good man he is, from bringing home food for me in the middle of the night, to sacrificing his sleep to make sure he spends time with his kids. He is what got me through my scary labor with Georgia, and throughout this entire ordeal, he has been a pillar of strength. I look at this man every day and wonder how I got so lucky to be loved by him. And the most beautiful part of all, is that he is my best friend AND the love of my life. After all these years, he still gives me the chza-chza tingles (Whitney Blanton lol) just like he did when we first met. I remember telling my mom, "I'm going to get fired. I'm in love with my kitchen manager," and we hadn't even ever talked outside of work yet. It was love at first sight and it's still love now, and I can't wait to see what else our adventure holds.

Hello there,

The angel from my nightmare,

The shadow in the background of the morgue.

The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley.

We can live like Jack and Sally

If we want.

Where you can always find me

And we'll have Halloween on Christmas.

And in the night we'll wish this never ends,

We'll wish this never ends.

(I miss you, miss you)
