I was fussy about making too many diet modifications for most of my pregnancy (because I was already cutting out deli-meat, sushi, wine, etc) so I wanted to eat whatever else I felt like. Now that I'm in the 3rd trimester, I'm learning SO many benefits of reducing salt intake and wanted to share this knowledge for any other mom's who might benefit from this info!!

Lowering salt:

-Reduces swelling

-Prevents high blood pressure (which can be cause for early induction)

-Helps maintain adequate amniotic fluid (which is dangerous if it gets too low)

Anyone else learned something they wish they would have known earlier that could help other mom's on here?
