periods and injuries!!

I recently hurt my neck and was in hospital for a week on a cocktail of medication. I had my period whilst in hospital but a month later, no period. I'm now 4 days late and a bfn. Would medication stop me from ovulating and mess my period up?? I'm still on gabapentin for the pain.
