RIP Officer Boyer

I  have no clue where to even begin. This week was such a huge awakening for me. I grew up in Whittier, I went to La serna highschool less than 2 blocks from the shooting, officer Boyer was my high school police officer, he made such a huge impact on my life. Every morning he stood by the same vending machine greeting every kid that walked by. When I was new to the school, I would stand around and talk to him during breaks. He inspired me to be a good person. And to stand up for what was right. He replaced my criminal investigations teacher (drylie not sure if he still works there), officer Boyer and drylie (while I was young) inspired me to become a cop or at least something in law enforcement up until the police violence started happening all values they taught me went out the window). I never known officer boyer to be that type of cop. Whittier PD has always been extremely mellow as far as racial corruption goes. So to hear such a good man like him was killed by some punk that should have never been released from jail was HEARTBREAKING! It made me snap back into reality and realize that not all cops are bad or racist, I forgot where I grew up, the people that inspired me to uphold integrity, just like the oath they made to protect our city. officer Boyers killer, was a convicted known gang member, killed his own cousin the night b4, hit 2 people b4 killing a good man less than 2 blocks away from a high school and 2 other schools within a 5block radius. I'm pretty sure Boyer was sent to that call because the high school is literally around the corner. IMAGINE IF THAT PUNK GOT TO THE HIGHSCHOOL?? He was already in a stolen car! And had GUNS on him. The STUDENT parking lot alone is filled with expensive cars (my year alone had all 2010 2011 forgein made cars) EARLY RELEASE seniors get out at 11:45/12 meaning if that guy had gotten to the campus he could have easily killed a early release student to take their car! It's such a shame that the GOOD MEN DIE YOUNG meanwhile the people doing the killing  are glorified and get away with it. That fucking piece of shit cholo is going to be glorified in jail for killing a cop. But if a cop killed him to protect the students he was within seconds of, all hell would break loose smh. I guess it's different when someone your close to is a victim. My thoughts a prayers go to his family and the PD.
