Should I file with him or alone?

My husband who I don't live with wants me to file taxes with him but my mom wants me to be her dependent since she is and has helped me out financially. Since I haven't worked much this year.

He says he'll lose money and that I have to file with him or were getting divorced.

My mom is hysterical screaming because she hates him and wants to get back the money she spent on me.

What do I do?

I currently live with my mom, because neither my husband or I work. We are looking for jobs.

If your husband would divorce you over something like filing taxes, then there are bigger issues here.

If you are married you file married. There are laws to follow...feelings should be left out. File the taxes appropriately then deal with the immature husband.

If your husband is fine divorcing you cuz of this this marriage is over anyways because hes just ready to end this for oetty reasons. Your moms being a bit petty as well but she deserves this since shes been helping you

That's a hard choice but if my parent supported me over my husband I'd let my parent claim me and let him "divorce" me over something petty
