I was just diagnosed with genital herpes and am severely depressed about it as I'm 23 weeks pregnant. I've had it for much longer than this but only just now had a minor and small outbreak. The Doctor flat out told me while swabbing "this isn't herpes, if it is then I've never seen such a mild case" so I left thinking it was a cloggged hair follicle from shaving. Today I got the awful call that confirmed it and I honestly had an anxiety attack. I will go on an anti viral until I deliver, which is also upsetting but even more upsetting is the thought it could harm my daughter.
