weird cramps??

I'm on nexplanon and have been for about 5-6 months, I haven't had a period, I'm not pregnant (I took a test this morning) but I've been having cramps the past few days like I did when I had a period before birth control. I haven't had cramps since I got nexplanon and there isn't any bleeding, what could this be from? has anyone else experienced this?
