nose piercing advice?

I really want a nose piercing but I have no clue how to ask my parents. My mom thinks a hoop is cute but too much but I never asked if I could actually get one. I have no clue what my dad thinks. Any idea on how I can approach my parents on this topic? I'm 16

Yeah just ask when they are in a good mood or when it comes to your birthday. That is what I did when I was 14. I've had a nose piercing since then.

My mom let me get my nose pierced at 13 😊 I still have it to this day (now 22).

All I did was ask. My mom had always thought they were cute, and she got hers done with me.

If the hoop is too much, then get a stud. (That is most likely what they will put in anyways during healing). I've never seen someone get a hoop as the starting jewelry. The studs are barely noticeable. I'm not allowed to have piercings at work - they have gotten on my case about all of them but I have my nose stud in (been at this job for 3 years) and none of my bosses have noticed 😝

Just say "I wanted to ask you something. Well I've been looking into and wanting to get my nose pierced for a while now so I was wondering if you would let me." Just have to be straight with them. If your mom thinks its cute then I'm sure it'd be fine with your dad if you just got a little stud which is what they usually give you anyways. I'm probably not a good example lol but for me I live on the border of another state where you can get piercings at 16 without permission so I went over that way all the time and got pretty much all the piercings I wanted when I was 16, including my nose. And my dad is pretty against piercings but he never minded my nose since it's a little stud or my ears.
