how to get over an ex

Okay so me and my ex are officially done communicating period at first we would still talk on and off as friends and still do intimate things but now I need to cut it off completely but the thing is I love him so much and I can't get over him I think about him everyday hoping that he calls or texts me. Idk what to do but I really just want to get over him and start to love myself more.
