I've started talking to this girl and I really like her but I'm afraid it won't work, Because of the distance.  Any advice?

I'm currently in one. If you're both really willing to put in the work and really wish to be together then it can work. It takes a lot of communication, compromise, and creative thinking.
 Be extremely open to your partner(s). Communication is the key to any healthy relationship and this includes long distance ones. This is especially true considering long distance couples cannot be physically together. Discuss everything. 
Since you aren't physically together, you will have to compromise. Some things will have to be given up or changed for a while. This is also where the creative thinking comes in. Can't have sex? Ok, perhaps you can try to introduce mutual masturbation or sex toys. (The wevibe4 plus would be my reccomendarion) 
Can't eat together? Skype dates! 
Skype while going for walks or  doing mundane tasks. 
Want to watch videos together? Try watch2gether 
Want to have a movie night? You can always watch Netflix and just time pressing the play button so you are watching it at "the same time" 
If metflix doesn't have it, Hulu, kisscartoon, etc might. 
Come up with fun, long distance-friendly alternatives to things.

Long distance has been a factor in a couple of relationships of mine. I went on two dates with this really lovely girl and she broke it off because she was moving and didn't think she could handle it.
Another girl I had a thing with for a bit, but we were both young and couldn't drive and she was a few towns away.
My current boyfriend lives 6 hours away, we met in college, so whenever we're let out for vacation we have to long distance it. It's hard, but we've done okay so far, and we're perfectly happy. Of course, it's only temporary long distance.
Basically in my experience it depends on the person you're with. Long distance is hard and it's definitely not for everyone. Sorry if this wasn't too helpful, but good luck!!
