I don't know if it's that important or essential, but my first cycle really trying (tacking ovulation) I laid there for 1-2 hours on my back after the deeds, and got pregnant.

The sperm get to the cervix rather quickly, but staying in bed can't hurt. I always lay on my back with a pillow under my bum for 10-30 mins. Also, I put the soles of my feet together and bend my knees and let them fall open- and sometimes bounce them up and down from the hip. It increases blood flow to your reproductive organs which is always good!!
