CoQ10?

Hi I'm 41 TTC #4. I recently started taking CoQ10. What do you all know about it? Help please. Really getting frustrated. Baby dust to all!

Update:   AF was due yesterday. Still no signs of it . Starting to feel a little nauseous. Hopefully this is a good sign, fingers crossed.

i ttc for 10 years with ivf and every other treatment out there it all failed.  i took coq10 and used pre seed for 8 weeks. i conceived naturally at 44 he is perfectly healthy 18 month old. i accepted i would never have a baby and shut the door. jokes on me! good luck ladies xx

I've done a lot of research on fertility supplements. I take 600mg of Coq10 (super ubiquinol) with enhanced mitochondrial support. Here is why: CoQ10 is a part of the electron transport chain which is responsible for generating energy in our cells. Ubiquinol has been shown to inhibit DNA oxidation (damage from free radicals), so it protects the genetic code. As we get older, our cellular production decreases and we are more exposed to free radicals. So by replacing the coq10 in our bodies, studies have shown that it can improve egg/sperm health. It's important to take the ubiquinol form.  I was told to use, life extensions brand from two  acupuncturists who specialize in fertility. I buy it off amazon. Hope this helps! 😊

I started taking Coq10 because I heard it improves the egg quality in older women. My cycle was completely out of whack.
Started spotting brown discharge but my period would not come. I am not sure if it's because of this supplement. I have always spot few days before full period but it's never been like this. Could it be because of coq10?

My doctor recommended it as something that certainly couldn't hurt and might help. I went off it as soon as I had my first positive HCG test. (I got pregnant was via IVF in the end)

My dr put me on Ubiquinol 200mg/day. As well as prenatals. He said it helps in cell development in women, and helps with sperm quality in men.

450-600mg if it is the capsules/standard form. Supposed to be a Strong anti-oxidant.
