help what do I major in??

Sorry this has nothing to do with the app but I'm trying to get all the help I can. I'm a freshman in college this year and I went in undeclared. The school year is almost over and I still have no idea what I want to major in. I love criminology and thought I was interested in it but truthfully I don't think I see myself doing that everyday. I really really love makeup and fashion but I'm not really sure what I'd do with that like what would I even major in?? And I'm also interested in possibly a medical field such as a nurse or even design like interior or architecture. But I really just don't know. Ugh it's just so stressful I think next year I'm going to take the year off to work and really get to know myself and find out what I like but I still need help on deciding on what to major in. If any of you are in college how did you decide that's what you really love?

Trial and error. I thought I wanted to be an artist, 8 months of it and I was over it. I thought I wanted to be a psychologist, 3 months of it and I'd had enough of the workload. Changed to teaching degree, 2 years of it, I actually enjoyed it but the workload was too much for my body that I ended up bedridden for about a year. In the time that I was bedridden, I took a long think about a career in teaching, rewarding work, for less than rewarding wage, getting so stressed it made me physically sick, probably not the career for me. During that year off I'd been to so many doctors and specialists, and did lots of research into health and wellbeing. Found out I retained the knowledge I read, and had a nice feeling when I knew what was going on in the body. Spent that time researching health fields, and decided to try dentistry field. I knew I didn't have the smarts for the biomed/dentistry course so I set my goals something more realistic, dental tech or dental assisting, to start off with and move up from there. I tried dental tech for 8 months, because it combined art and health, but it was too hard on my hands, I couldn't make the appliances as well as I wanted to. My instructor said that with my personality I'd be better suited to the dental assisting/nurse field. So I found a course I liked, it might not have been a degree but it was still nationally accredited. I ended up enjoying it so much, my class became a family, and my teacher was the most supportive person I've ever met. Even though I was still sick I could retain the knowledge and show the practical skills.

In short, don't get too stressed about finding your major just yet. It's something you have to discover about yourself. Try different things, do some volunteer work to see the industry you want to go in. You might at the end of it find yourself doing something you never saw yourself doing.

In my opinion nursing is your best bet because there is a high demand. Nursing school is freaking hard but so worth it. But if your heart isn't innit, you won't do well. It takes everything you have and we see new grads who come in all the time and they do it cause they think there is money but it's not that great. It takes us a lot to train new grads and it's noticeable when they're just there for a check. It's hard, disgusting some times, stressful, but amazing, wonderful, and fulfilling at the same time. Best advice, follow your heart and you'll never work a day in your life!

You can always go undeclared and take some experimental classes that line up with your passion and interest. That way, your credits will still line up!

If you are interested in the heath care field I suggest you get your CNA first. It's easy and cheap to get. But DONT get a nursing degree without knowing you can handle the day to day job. If you like fashion and make up I suggest maybe going for cosmetology. I think you have to find a school that specifically teaches that though.

My major was criminal justice I absolutely loved it , I'm currently in school now for early child education , when you go to decide your major look at it as this major in something that you wouldn't mind doing the rest of your life something you're going to actually enjoy
