enfamil or similac after breast feeding?

I am not creating enough breast milk for my LO, so I was trying to decide which formula to try out. I want to breast feed her first then give her an oz or 2 of formula because she's an eating machine and she's about to be 2 weeks tomorrow. Any suggestions?

To this day I use Costco brand formula. It works great and is literally half the price of Similac or Enfamil.

I'm supplementing with Similac. That's what they gave us at the hospital. Also, we get wic and they just signed a 5 years contract with Similac.

My baby ate a lot since she was born. She would not get full with my milk alone. I bought her the non gmo newborn Enfamil and it worked well for her. She doesn't have stomach problems. I started pumping every 3 hrs to increase my supply. I'd put her on the boob and give her formula. She's 2 months now and she eats 4 oz of formula a day.

Baby is cluster feeding to increase supply no need for formula unless you really just want LO on formula. Get in contact with a certified lactation consultant. I don't think it's your supply more baby is just cluster feeding (completely normal) since baby is only about 2 weeks old.

I'm not sure about Enfamil, but I know Similac has a formula for supplementing.

Neither worked for my daughter, I switched to Gerber for supplementing( green package) first while i was still breastfeeding her some, and when I totally weaned her I switched to the Gerber gentle (orange package). A nurse told me that similac and enfamil are "heavier" and harder for breastfed babies to digest. Whatever the case may be, Gerber has worked awesome. She spit up a bunch with enfamil.

My Doula suggested Similac as it's the only one that's regulated. My baby isn't here yet but with PCOS and a reduction, it is possible I will need to supplement.

I wanted to share this link. Please read. BTW I give my baby Similac. We have not tried Enfamil. I also breastfeed, but I never produced enough milk no matter what I tried.
