FTM grew up without mother?

Question

Anyone else grow up without a mother and are having a kid or had kids? Where'd you go for advice? I'm 21 and a FTM.

I grew up with my mom in the same house, but she was never around because she always had her own thing to do, which was usually reading books and chain smoking and ignoring me and my siblings. My sister would drop her kids off and me and my brothers would car for them because she came home from work, went into her room with a book, and stayed in there until she went to bed at like 8pm. My Grandma raised me and my brothers completely, but she passed away in November 2013, so my only female role model is gone. 
My mom swears she's going to be around when my little one is born, but I doubt it. Once my parents got divorced, she gave up and just wants to sit in her apartment all day and never leave. And if I suggest she leaves, she gets mad and shuts me out. 
I bought a new car and had to drop my old one at the dealership, and she volunteered to come pick me up, but ditched me once I had already made it to the dealership. I had to wait 45 minutes for my brother to get off work and get me because she was upset with me. 
So, I'll be doing it without having my mom around.

Sorry about taking over your post and ranting, but I've been trying so hard to have a mom my whole life, and all mine shows me is what NOT TO do.

I'm 23 bub is due in June and haven't had a mother in my life for 10 years had to go through buying a house, marriage and now babies without a mum! It sucks but I have sisters and my husbands mum. Have you had your baby yet ? Does your partner have a mother or any siblings etc?
