when can I get an early elective scan

Hi mamas! This is my first pregnancy and I would love to get an elective scan as a way to announce to our families that we are pregnant. We are only 4 weeks so I know that is too early! But when can I go get an elective scan? I know there will only be our little frijolito very very small but still... thanks moms!

I would wait until after 7 weeks at least. At that point a heartbeat would be established and visible.

In GA private ultrasounds will see you starting at 8 weeks. They call it the peace of mind scan 😊

Private ultrasounds won't see you till 15-22 weeks, well in a place in NC 😂

When will your doctor be doing a scan...best to find that out first...it's a waste of money honestly until the second trimester as you cannot see very much at all until that point.
