Newt Scamander autistic?

Does it seem to anyone that Newt Scamander, from FBaWtFT, is on the autism spectrum? To me, he shows many signs of having Asberger's.  Not that it should need clarification, but this isn't a negative or insult, just an observation.

Yes I believe he is on the spectrum. The book is just a screen play of the movie, so it wouldn't differentiate. He was intended to be socially awkward that way. I'm sure we will learn more about it in other movies, but I really feel like he has aspergers. He is incredibly intelligent, socially awkward, doesn't make good eye contact, and is obsessive compulsive about his beasts (although that could just be being an animal lover 😊). JK always likes to put in subtle things like that anyway, so very very likely.

Yep! My mom has an acute form of aspergers and when I went to go see that movie I definitely thought that he might be autistic as well.
