choosing the right birth control

I'm having trouble choosing which birth control is right for me. I was on the depo shot for about 6 months And I HATED it. There was a constant brown discharge that would not stop. It was disgusting and smelled and completely ruined the mood during sex. I know I do not want the pill because I would most likely forget and I know how important it is to take it on time. I've been unreliable with every medication I've ever taken. I want one that will not give me the brown poop like disharge and that will work for a long period or time. Any suggestions? Please help!
