B V ! THE WORST THING EVER

Sometime in the summer I got BV and since July 2016 I have had it on and off but I get it once a month or once I am done treating I can get it the next week. I have tried pills and cream prescribed ! IS THIS FOREVER ? Will I have to take boric acid once a week forever. I'm really uncomfortable and I even don't want to have sex with my boyfriend .
