Baby Swing - Does anyone else's baby hate it?

Question

My son is 7 weeks on Friday and he doesn't like the swing at all. I am just wondering if he's still to young for it and may like it as he gets older or if some babies just hate it. He is Colicky and very fussy. I was thinking of selling it but don't know if I am just jumping the gun.

Holly hates swings, so we got her a MamaRoo and she LOVES it! So do I!

My son also wasn't a huge fan until a poster on here suggested swaddling him when I put him in. Once I did that he has loved it ever since and does most of his day naps there. Since he's swaddled though (and so not able to be strapped in) I never walk away from him in it. He's 7 weeks now. He enjoys alert time in there not being swaddled too, but not for long periods of time.

My girl hated it at first, now she loves it but only back and forth, hates side to side

My little guy only likes it when he is in a good mood. The only way he falls asleep in ours is if we put on the night time nature sounds (crickets and owls). I was so sad he doesn't like it more. I keep hoping as he keeps getting bigger, he will like it more. If that doesn't happen, maybe baby number two. 🙄

My daughter hated it until she was 5 weeks or so.  Then it broke lol so we replaced it with a fisher price soothing motions seat.  She loves it

My LO hates it,I'm glad a friend gave me hers so I didn't pay for it myself. I tried it again a few weeks later and she likes it better but still not in love. Give it a few more weeks I'd say.

My son is 8 weeks and still doesn't seem to like it too much. Maybe for 5-10 minutes but that's it.
