I have been the General Manager for a small company (approx 25 employees) for the last 5 years and am expecting my first baby. We are not protected under FMLA but they offered me 2 weeks paid maternity leave. It's not much, but it's something! My boss just told me that he forgot to take into consideration my health insurance, so I will either have it terminated or it will be deducted from my leave. Insurance coverage is a non-negotiable so I am forced to take it out of my leave which leaves me with zero.
