Beyond the usual first few days/weeks of pain?

I see and hear from so many women that breastfeeding is so hard and I actually feel guilty that it's easy for me.

No judgement. A happy healthy baby is all we all are after.

I found it incredibly hard in the beginning. It certainly got easier, but it's still stressful. Am I producing enough, do I have enough for the babysitter, is she gaining properly, things like that. I'm a nurse so finding times for breaks is challenging. My employer is accomodating, but since I work on a psych unit, if we have a violent patient who's in the middle of an episode, I can't always get away when I want to. 5 months in though, and not giving up!

Nope. It was extremely uncomfortable & it hurt the first two weeks. Also emotionally I've had days when I was unhappy because only I could get up to feed him or because I was stuck for hours on the couch for cluster feeding. But all this was maybe 10% of my experience, the remaining 90% was positive (bonding, convenience etc.).

Hard no. Draining yes. I have the world's worst clingy baby that will not take any bottle! She's 6 months now. I fed for 12 months with my son and loved it. Absolutely hate it this time lol.

My daughter is a year now and we are done breastfeeding... have been for a few months now. I really struggled in the beginning and towards the end. I got pregnant again when she was about 7 months and my supply plummeted. It had been on the decline for a while though which was frustrating. In the middle though it was great and I honestly cannot wait to breastfeed my second baby due in July. I am surrounded by moms who either choose not to breastfeed or haven't had any luck with it, so I feel  dry thankful that it worked out as well as it did for my daughter and I.

Awful at the beginning (bleeding nipples, clogged ducts, toe curling pain and nursing strikes) but we've been at it for 9 months and it's much smoother now. I have to deal with biting and a baby who won't take a bottle but I'm so glad I stuck it out.

Blessing indisguise about having a nicu preemie, I pumped religiously while she was in the hospital & fed her, so I almost feel like I was eased into it in a sense and had obviously a lot more help then the avg birth mom who is has a day or so in the hospital. I never had bleeding nipples, or had issues with latching. I've always over produced. My biggest (thankfully) compliant is the how time consuming it is to pump at work, and clogged ducts. Those are awful!

I've been blessed. My daughter took to breastfeeding really well together. She latched perfectly the second she was born! I've had one clogged milk duct and got that under control in a few days, other than that, it's been smooth sailing! I seriously feel so blessed, because my other friends quit after a couple months and we are going strong on 5 months! I plan on breastfeeding until she is 2 years.
