So I'm 22 weeks along and my husband is prepping the nursery today. He was cleaning the walls with rubbing alcohol. He asked me if it was ok that I'm around the scent and I said yes should be fine...it's just rubbing alcohol. Anyway he opened a window and had a fan on, but our whole house smelled strongly of rubbing alcohol anyway. I was going about my business for about 30 minutes before I Googled it and now I'm freaking out because I'm reading that "prolonged" exposure can cause nerve damage or fetal alcohol syndrome. I'm out of the fumes now but really concerned that I hurt my baby by breathing it. What counts as "prolonged exposure"? Is there anything I can do about it now? Trying not to freak :( I should have googled it before I let him use it and now I'm worried.
