Kissing and making out

So, I'm still getting to know this guy and we've been dating for a month now. It seems we are headed towards an exclusive relationship. I plan to ask him what his intentions are for our relationship together this month. But the issue is I've never really kissed a guy until I met him. And by kiss I mean like a quick peck on the lips. He wants us to be able to make out soon it seems. But I still find it intimidating, I still find any type of physical affection with guys intimidating. I want to be able to comfortably do these things with him like kiss make out hold hands but it's difficult. I don't want to take too long to do these things with him because I'm afraid he'd get bored.
