Cerclage anyone?

I am 13 weeks today. I had a procedure to put in cervical cerclage two days ago. My cervix measured at 17mm. The normal is around 40mm at my gestation. That's pretty scary 😕. Has anyone else had this procedure? What's your thoughts on it?

I had it done at 20 weeks and I'm now 29 weeks and 5 days.  And everything is still looking good. As of right now they plan on taking it out at 36 weeks.

I had one at 19 weeks and now my son is 1 week old. I had it taken out at 37 weeks and had him at just over 39 weeks.

I was diagnosed with Incompetent Cervix bc my water broke when I was 18 weeks pregnant with my daughter and she died. With any future pregnancies, my doctor said I will have to get a cerclage at 12 weeks to prevent another loss. I just found out I am pregnant again. I see my doctor next week for my first appt with this pregnancy and to schedule my first cerclage.

Cerclage anyone?
