Weightloss and TTC at 26

Xaila

Hello,

I'm Xaila and I'm 26 years old ttc first child after miscarriage in July 2016. I'm praying for twins this go around. After miscarriage I had one obgyn whose bedside manner was horrible and you'd think as a woman to woman being she was never able to get pregnant she'd be more compassionate. Anyways, I'm listed as morbidly obese, but I don't have any health issues aside from obesity. After miscarriage I wanted to know what happened and she basically said your obese if you lose 50lbs., I'll offer you fertility medicine but if you lose a hundred pounds I'll refer you to an endocrinologist. She also said I had alot of fat around my uterus which kept it from supporting my growing baby. It hurt my feelings so bad, but I appreciate her telling me, but she offered me no support. I switched obgyn and their team specialize in all areas high risk. They have been so supportive in assisting me to lose weight. Also assisting to create a plan to get me pregnant again.

So I loss about 22lbs while working with a bariatric surgeon and I had surgery on 2/22/2017 and since then I've loss an additional 27lbs. I went to visit my OBGYN and my levels are still normal we did a scan/ultrasound to look at my ovaries and uterus and to see if we notice a difference in how it looked last time opposed to now and oh my God, we could the fat surrounding itbhad decreased drastically. We are still not going to ttc just yet I would like to lose about 40 more pounds just to give me and my baby's health a fair chance.

It hurted my soul to be told that I was the reason my baby didn't live or grow and since then I've struggled to fight this weight to be able to try again to create life. I'm so proud that I am now able to see and even feel the changes of my weight and I can't wait to lose more weight and try again. I don't know many others who've experience the same issues as me but I wanted to share my experience and receive advice from others whom may have had surgery or had drastic weightloss and then became pregnant. Let me make this a little more personal I was 400lbs loss 48lbs last year when I became pregnant and after the loss fell into a depression and gained 38lbs back. I'm only 5'3 and I have an abnormally small torso. My goal is to be 280-300 when I become pregnant again thats as patient as I feel i can be...
