cancelled prom????

Okay so me and this boy talked for basically the whole school year (I'm a sophomore and he's a senior 🤷🏼‍♀️) and we really like each other and he was gonna ask me to prom, and he told me he was just to make sure I wouldn't say yes to any other boys, and so I went and bought a dress and got appointments for my hair and makeup set up and then he tells me he found a 'better girl to go to prom with'. I'm so upset because I went and spent all that money on a dress just for him to cancel and go with someone else 😭😭
