Can boys have a kitchen playset?

My husbands uncle and I were talking about my sons birthday and how I have no idea what I'm getting him so I said maybe a kitchen playset since he loves to cook with mommy! Well my husbands uncle said why would you do that?!? No. That's gonna turn him into a pussy... like wtf? What's y'alls opinion on this?

That's a ridiculous homophobic mindset. Boys liking to cook is not going to turn them gay. My nephew has one and loves it. We don't need to assign them such strict roles so early. Boys should learn they have more in common with girls than they do different.

Wow ur husbands uncles dumb tbh. I mean ya some older people are just stuck in their ways, but come on!! There are plenty of incredible male chefs! Gordon Ramsey, bobby flay, guy fieri, etc.. cooking is one of the passions that my boyfriend and I both share and my dream is to someday have a restaurant together😊 if we get married and have kids some day, my kids will definitely learn to cook at an early age no matter what they identify as.. my dad taught me how to cook starting at 6. Everyone has to eat, so everyone should know how to cook... people are so dumb and ignorant 🙄

I had one growing up. I'm the eldest and my brothers were able to use it when I grew out of it. None of them ever liked it though- probably because they saw it as a girls toy as it was mine at one point. But we had other things like a play house and garden thing that they used on occasion. It was pink (originally mine) and they loved it but they used it more as a fort or something to jump off. If you think your son will like a cooking set then get him one! He'll probably enjoy it. My siblings and I played with the opposite 'gender' toys- granted our methods of playing were different but we enjoyed them.

This is one of the things that confuse me the most. Why couldn't he have one? Why would it be girly? There are tons of executive chefs who are men. In no way does it seem girly to me. I mean, Gordon Ramsey is one of the most famous chefs in the world and I'm 99% sure he's a man 😂
