I'm finding the ovulation pee tests so hard-

So a whole week prior I get a faint line that gets stronger every day, and then it gets to the same or almost the same as the control line I can't tell, then my test line gets really dark even darker than the control line- which day am I ovulating on? I'm so confused and it wouldn't matter usually but my husband is deploying and we are trying natural IUIs while he is gone so I have to be really sure before I go in to be inseminated 🙄
