Getting induced this Wednesday evening!! Extremely Nervous!

So I'm getting induced in a couple days and now I'm finally thinking about the pain. I'm extremely nervous and a little terrified. I'm just so scared about the pain of the contractions and the pain of getting the epidural. I'm scared that I'm not going to be able to handle it and that the worst possible things could happen. How can I get myself to just calm down and not freak out about it? My fiances mom said that the epidural is the worst pain you will ever feel for 60-90 secs. I just need someone to reassure me that it won't be so bad. Please help me! And how can I keep myself calm during the contractions and epidural?
