paps before birth control??

Can you begin birth control without paps or exams? I'm only 16 and have been active for a year or two. I don't want to get any exams but my mom says I have to before I get on it. I'm just nervous and I really don't want one until I'm older.

you dont really have to, but since you're active they might recommend you to.

Its also good to have the exam so you'll know you're clean snd nothing is wrong down there

I was on birth control for 4 years before I got a Pap smear. My doctor always said that as long as I was healthy and wasn't having any problems, I didn't need one till I was 21.

I would go for the Pap smear and std testing. It's good to go every other year and something women avoid. Better safe then sorry

You're sexually active, get in birth control ASAP.
