soothie pacifiers

Has anyone had issues with soothie pacifiers causing teeth problems? I've read several things saying they do and others saying they don't. My almost 7 month old loves her soothie and I'm having problems getting her to switch. She doesn't have any teeth yet and only uses it to fall asleep at naps and bedtime.
