hair down there

From your experiences how do guys feel about having hair down there? I sometimes shave everything around my vagina but not the patch you'd be able to see from just me naked (I think it looks weird without hair there) but I get a ton of bumps and it usually hurts do guys care if you don't shave or wax and just trim? The hair I do have is very short and well kept because I trim it often
