Any mamas using cloth diapers?

Do you love them? hate them? Thinking of switching over but not sure if it's worth it

Yes! It's not much extra work once you get the hang of it! I use mostly pockets and some all-in-ones. It's super important to have a good wash routine, but other than that it's as simple as snapping the buttons! There's a group on FB called Fluff Love & CD Science that can set up a wash routine for you. It IS kind of expensive to get everything you need but it's a one time expense! Once you buy what you need you're done!

I'm going to be the odd one out. I was using cloth and really wanted to continue but my baby kept getting rashes even though I changed him often like OCD often especially with the rash. I'm pretty sure it was the cloth because I use plain old water wipes. Switched to disposals and no rash. My friend's son also got a yeast infection from cloth. So I guess the moral is try it I hope it works but it doesn't work for everyone.

Yes, I love them! I started with pocket diapers but really hated having to insert them every time I did laundry. So I switched to all in ones. They're so easy and just like disposables. I just throw them in the wash in the morning and hang them out to dry and that's it. So easy and save so much money. I would suggest all in ones from Alva baby. They're the cheapest and just as good quality as the expensive ones I have. I would suggest buying about 25-30. I've never had problems with leaks or nappy rash.

We're using cloth and disposables (only at night and not always) combined, but mostly cloth. I love pocket ai2 diapers with bamboo/microfiber inserts. Flats and prefolds didn't work for us as they are too bulky and had a feeling LO was feeling  wet all the time. A matter of preference really. I love Mama Koala brand, they're affordable and fit perfectly to my baby.

Cloth diapers are really simple if you use prefolds with snappies and water proof covers this is also the cheapest way . breastfed baby poop washes out super easy in the wash. No need for liners rinse on cold wash on hot and dry on medium done! I have 36 prefolds and five water proof covers and only do laundry every three days and honestly laundry is just pushing a button its not like it's lot of work :p and there's really no folding involved like clothes :p. I tried cloth diapering for a few weeks and really wanted to love it-- buy I honestly hate it😩 My sis gave me some Charlie banana and bumgenius ones. The stash I have is enough for two days, so every other day was laundry day--not the worst part of it for me tho. My son is a heavy wetter and we kept having leaks, even with double inserts, even with frequent changes, even with prefolds in them! plus they are so bulky(!!) and the gathers left red marks on his little thighs. I just bought pampers and my life is so much easier👍 I may try again and use prefolds with the snappys and plastic covers, but for now I'm taking a break. Maybe it was just me😟If any mommas have any tips that would help?

We are using cloth (lil helper and Bumgenuis 5.0) and have been for the past week. I really like it so far. We have an ubbi pail with a cloth diaper bag in it and wash them each night. We also use paper liners that are flushable for the poop. I find it as easy as regular diapers and they are so darn cute. We are thinking of doing cloth wipes to so we don't need the additional diaper pail.

You just need a good wash routine and the come out great. We wash with Percil Proclean

1. Wash on cold
2. Wash on warm on longest cycle
3. Rinse Cycle again
4. Hang to dry (we put the liners in the drier  though).

I started with them answer intend to go back to them. We had a ton of issues when he was born and they're definitely extra work so we stopped for awhile. Just make sure you research them, it's not as simple as just cloth diapering. It's a lifestyle change, there's a wash routine that can be lengthy and tons of choices. Good luck!
