My baby won't stop crying at night? (9 months 1/2)

From the beginning, our baby girl has slept through the night. However for the past week, she wakes up (eyes shut) and starts moaning and crying, it happens like 4 to 5 times - although to me it seems like every 30 mins! What is this? It's new and different and unusual! I thought of teething? But her first two teeth popped out of nowhere (around 6 months) and she had no symptoms.. doesn't mean she won't go through them now? Could she be sick? - although during the day she is healthy and active and doesn't cry? Or could she be too cold or too hot? But why only now? Please help?

My 8 month old has nights like that too. And honestly, those nights are when I just move him to bed with us and he won't wake up at all the rest of the night. I don't think it's teething for my son, because he has 6 teeth through and no more trying to come in yet, and he wasn't fussy at all. I think he has nightmares though

Maybe night terrors? I remember my brother doing the same thing around a year. I would just hold him and rock until he stopped crying. He never actually woke up with his eyes open, and he seemed happy as ever in the mornings.. I don't recall them lasting for more than a couple of weeks

Could be gas too, that's how my son acts when he has it. A good burp, tummy massage or even warm bathes help. Plus gas drops or gripe water!

I have no idea, but my daughter is 8.5 months and has been doing the same thing! My best guess is teething since her gums look swollen. During the day she is alright if she's playing, but trying to put her to sleep for naps or bedtime is a nightmare. Maybe because her toys take her mind off the pain but when settling to sleep there are no distractions?

Possibly night terrors...my daughter had them all the time.they are asleep but lash out like they are awake it's the most bizarre scariest thing...and u can't really wake them up. Best way to describe it is like the baby is throwing a tantrum but is not awake or aware of what he/she is doing. Drs said it's common since thier lil brains are processing so much info through the day...good luck! I would def talk to the pediatrician.
