UTI - *GRAPHIC PHOTOS* passing blood clots, is this normal?

Question

I have painful urination, it was bleeding when I peed last night and then once I started passing blood clots there was no longer any liquid blood if that makes sense.

I am now passing "chunky" blood bits and I have gotten trimethoprim to treat the infection, Ural and I am drinking water as much as possible.

Is this normal? Has anyone had something similar before? I have taken pictures but they are quite graphic.

I was having this in my pee and didn't even realize it when I had a UTI. I went to the ER for something totally unrelated but I was really sick and had a migraine that was making me puke. They told me to take a urine sample and when I looked in the cup I had this in my pee. I freaked out because it was crazy looking (like this) and told them so they tested me for a UTI -I didn't even have any symptoms of a UTI at ALL and they said it was a really bad UTI and was likely why I was so sick. As long as you're on antibiotics and this doesn't last longer than a day you should be good. That Migraine was so bad I barely have memory of even getting to the ER or leaving or even the day after. I just remember them being like "pee in this cup" and then they took me back to the bed. Later they came back like "yeah, that's a wicked UTI you're lucky you caught it" They gave me a shot for the headache and I was out. (my mom said I slept for 24 hours straight. Don't remember that or waking up or anything) but about a day after antibiotics I was back to normal like nothing even happened.

No you need antibiotics asap before it goes to your kidneys

Were you passing blood clots when you went to your Dr? Is her or she aware this is happening? If this is a new symptom or if you're developing a new/worse fever, flank pains I would call about it ASAP.

If you start getting very bad flank pain + fever, that's worth immediately going to an urgent care clinic for.

When I had a UTI that turned into a kidney infection, I passed a couple gummy looking blood clots as well. This was after I had started taking antibiotics. Prior to that it was cloudy, dark bloody urine. It was a horrible experience.

So I did a search on Google and this popped up. I've been fighting a UTI for a few days and yesterday was the worst day ever. Felt like I was holding a razor blade in my vagina. Spent majority of the day sitting on the toilet. Started noticing blood and had 3 of those on the tissue. Darker then that in the picture. Scared the shit out of me. Never experienced that before. Did you find out what it was?

I’m on antibiotics for a kidney infection and this just started happening to me (2 days antibiotics) I still have left side back pain and lower abdominal pain but the antibiotics took away the painful peeing at least
