how often should I be seen?

Everyone tells me after 32 weeks, I should be seen every 2 weeks at the doctors office, but I was only seen once a month. Now that I'm 37 weeks, everyone tells me I should be seen every week, but my doctor said, "no every other week is fine." So my last appt was 36 weeks, and my next appt is at 38 weeks, and after that, my next one is 40 weeks. Anyone know why my doc is scheduling me like this? 😕 it's my first pregnancy and everyone in my family is questioning the appointments and I have no idea why.

I'd say you're very low risk and healthy.
Pregnacy is a natural thing so there isn't really much point to have too many appointments unless something concerning occurs.

I have only seen my midwife 3 times my whole pregnancy (saw specialists every 4/6 weeks due to a high risk pregnancy) now in the last weeks I saw her a month ago and seeing her again today (I'm 37 weeks) after today I will be 40 weeks when I see her. I see my doc and have a scan on Thursday then again In Two weeks (at 39 weeks). But this is my third baby so I know you don't see them as much as your first xxx

At 37 weeks you should be seen every week. I've never heard of it being every two weeks so late in pregnancy before.

I personally think the frequency of my appts are a waste of time since I've had a healthy pregnancy with no complications. I feel like I go in just to have my vitals done, which are the same every time 😐 unless you feel like you should be seen more often, I think it's fine and much more convenient!

My doctor did every 4 weeks up until 36 weeks. So it was 30-34-36 and now it will be 36-38-39-40-41. I'm 37 weeks and go in for my 38 week appointment next week! 
So my appointments were every 4 weeks up until 36 weeks as well and then went to 2 weeks apart and not every week until 38 weeks.

If your pregnancy is low risk they don't need to see you every week. Every 2 weeks Is fine.

I wouldn't worry. They'll see you more if they have any reason at all to think that they should. And you can always call for an appt if you have questions or concerns. I have to go at least twice a week because of gestational diabetes, I would love a few less appointments:)

I'm 37 weeks and being seen every week now. But I can say that it's kinda overkill considering I have a super healthy normal pregnancy. I'd be more than happy to have appointments every other week. But I can see why it'd be a little alarming for someone. Ask your provider to clarify, say that you know most people are seen weekly at this point and you just want to know why you're not?

At 36 weeks they should see you every week to see if your dilated at all your last month.  So that is very odd they have you like this.
