looking for some help please..

Hey! I'm around 8 weeks pregnant with my first, found out 2 weeks ago and contacted doctor last week who gave me the form to fill out. I filled it out and handed it back last wed but haven't had a phone call yet from midwife. Is this normal? Should I phone up? Sorry if it's a daft question just not sure if this is normal or not!
