BBT with small fluctuations

I haven't been tracking long so maybe that part of the problem, but my BBT doesn't fluctuate very much. Even after ovulation, took a test and got my LH surge, my temp only went up about .5 then dropped back to where it was before ovulation. Does anyone know any reasons for this?
