endometriosis?

I've been experiencing such intense pain with my last few periods and this week have been so bad that I cannot talk in full sentences and it doesn't just come and go it's constant! I've taken tramadol and it hasn't taken any effect on the pain,
And it is a significantly heavier flow than normal. I've been having to change products at least every hour, and I'm so bloated I look about 5 months pregnant!!

My sister told me about endometriosis and said I should go to the GP but I'm so worried about the doctor telling me to just "get on with it"

Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do?

Hi I was diognosed in 2010 after years of unusual bleeding which was heavy irregular and clots. I had pain in my abdomen and pain during sex too with bleeding. My back always hurt and I had pain in my upper thighs . I became anemic too . In 2015 I had surgery to burn off what they could but sticky lesions had spread to my ligaments and pelvis, sticking them together . After surgery everything was amazing for 6 months and then everything returned with revenge and I've just  found out its spread further, like you fear I was fobbed off for the past year and a half being told my new lump was a bloody hernia.. Wasn't until they scanned me 2 weeks ago and found endometrial tissue :( please do see your go and keep going if needs be X

Have your periods always been painful? It is unusual that you would suddenly be experiencing intense pain. Endo isn't a sudden onset disease. Maybe you have cysts? Most people with endo have symptoms basically from the onset of menarche with symptoms typically increasing in severity over years. I would definitely speak to your doctor and ask for a referral to a gyno specialist. I suffered with undiagnosed endo for 18 years! Kept being misdiagnosed with IBS. Finally I researched endo and got referred to a specialist who perfermoned a laparoscopic surgery and confirmed extensive endo. Unfortunately, endo typically will return. Diet plays a huge role in surpression and relief. You have to be your own advocate for your health! Seek help & Good luck!
