thoughts on Paragaurd?

What are your guys thoughts and experiences with paragaurd? Is it better or worse than taking birth control pills? How was your period like after insertion? Was it painful getting it/after getting it? How effective is it for you and do you recommend it?

I think everyone's experience is different. I had a friend who got it and loves it! But my cousin got it and had to have it removed a few months later with a bad reaction. Also, TRIPLE check your insurance covers it. My cousins doctor assured her that it was covered, and then she was slapped with a massive bill later. It got sorted out, but that's a lot of unecessary stress you can hopefully avoid!

I love mine! It really hurt to get put in but no worries now was worth it! It made my periods lighter and more regular. Only issue I have had with it, is when you have really deep rough sex you could hit and it hurts really bad. But I think you should get one.

So far I would recommend it. I got it about a month ago. It felt like short intense cramps when inserted, but it's been worth it. I haven't had any cramping since, just spotting for about a week or so after. I love the fact that I don't have to remember my pill anymore or worry about side effects of hormonal birth control.
